Dance therapy the psychotherapeutic use of movement and dance as a creative process which furthers the cognitive, emotional and social integration of the individual.

Dance therapy is based on the following principles:
The body mirrors the personal history, the personality and the emotional status of the individual.
Through movement we gain access to everything relating to the prelocutionary stages of growth and maturity.
The main levels of human existence -physical, psychological, cognitive, spiritual, social- are in constant interaction and by affecting one of them we can trigger changes in the other ones as well.
